6-Wide and 7-Wide Equipment Trailers in Marysville

Rated around the machine rather than the load, which means the first question is a weight.

What to bring

The operating weight of the heaviest thing you will load, and whether it drives on or gets winched. Those set the axle rating, the deck and the ramps together, and guessing at any of them produces a trailer that is wrong in all three.

Sizing

A 6-wide handles stand-on mowers, mini excavators and compact tractors, sits lower, and is easier to load single-handed. A 7-wide takes skid steers and paired compact machines. The 8.5-wide and deckover exist for loads that overhang everything narrower.

Build

Dexter axles with brakes on both, treated commercial-strength decks, stand-up or slide-out ramps, radial tires, LED lighting. Deckover clears the tires for a flat full-width surface.

Loading in the wet

Worth saying plainly in this climate: deck height and ramp angle matter more here than they do inland. A lower deck and a longer ramp is the difference between loading confidently and loading carefully, and if you load alone on a wet morning it is the specification to prioritize.

Browse equipment inventory, or bring the machine and we will match a rating to it.

Deck length, measured properly

Measure the machine with whatever you leave attached - bucket, forks, breaker. That is the real length and it is frequently a foot or more past the spec sheet. A correctly rated trailer that is a foot short is still the wrong trailer.

Ramps

Stand-up ramps store vertically and save yard space; slide-out ramps are lighter and easier to place single-handed. If the machine loads several times a week, order the ramp hardware heavy - it takes full load every time and wears accordingly.

Deckover versus standard

Deckover clears the tires for a flat full-width surface and is the only way two machines sit genuinely abreast. The cost is load height, so anything tall or low-clearance is better on a standard deck.

Brakes, and the truck

Brakes on both axles, with the controller set against this trailer rather than a factory default. Bring the truck at collection and we will pair them properly - it takes minutes and it is the most common reason a loaded rig feels wrong.

Inspections

Two complimentary 40-point safety inspections come with every new trailer, at 12 and 24 months. On an equipment trailer they focus on bearings, brake adjustment on both axles, deck condition, ramp hardware and the frame welds at the tongue.

What to check each season

Deck boards where the tracks or tires bear, ramp hinges and pins, tie-down points for elongation, and the frame welds at the tongue. In this climate, add the ramp hinge pins specifically - standing water and constant damp are harder on them than on anything else, and a seized pin is a loading problem rather than an inconvenience.

Coming to look at one

Bring the machine if you can, or its operating weight and dimensions if you cannot. We will match the rating and check the load angle with you rather than sell you a number off a page. Browse equipment inventory.

A note on rating headroom

Buy above your heaviest machine rather than level with it. Attachments, fuel, and the mud that comes with wet-season work all add weight that is not in the spec sheet, and a trailer running at its limit wears brakes and bearings far faster than one with headroom.
