Track width is what rules a trailer out. Not weight rating, not deck length. A skid steer that overhangs is one you will fight at every load and never strap with full confidence.

Measure the outside of the tracks or tires and compare it against usable width between the rails, which is not always the number in the trailer’s name.

The truck side

At these weights the receiver, coupler, ball rating, wiring, and in-cab controller function as one system. Long descents on I-90 and the pass roads put far more into that system than level running does. Drive the truck to the lot and we will go through the whole arrangement in about ten minutes.
