What Two Free Inspections Actually Cover

Every new trailer includes 40-point safety inspections at 12 and 24 months at no charge. Factory-trained technicians go through bearings, brakes and brake adjustment, the full electrical system and wiring integrity, frame welds, coupler tolerances, and tire condition and balance. It takes an appointment and not much of your day, and it is the cheapest way to find a problem while it is still small.

Bearings, Brakes and Running Gear

Running gear is where most trailers actually fail. Bearings carry the load and generate heat doing it, and heat is what kills them - which matters more here than in a cooler climate. If you tow heavy, tow often, or run gravel county roads regularly, have them checked more frequently than the manual suggests rather than less.

Electric brakes need the controller in your truck set correctly as well as the brakes themselves in good order. A rig that stops fine empty can be genuinely unsafe loaded. We can check both together, which is more useful than checking either alone.

Hydraulics on Dump Trailers

Dump trailers have the most to go wrong and the most consequence when it does. The pump, the cylinders, the fluid, the battery, and the wiring between them all need to work together. A battery that has been sitting low all winter will let you down on the first heavy load of spring. We service the whole system rather than swapping the obvious part and hoping.

If your trailer is lifting slowly, lifting unevenly, or drifting back down under load, bring it in before it gets worse. Those are early symptoms with cheap fixes and expensive consequences.

Lighting and Electrical

Trailer lighting fails more often than anything else and is the easiest thing to put off. The 7-way connector between truck and trailer takes the worst of it - road spray, dust, vibration, and repeated plugging and unplugging. Most lighting faults trace back to that connector or its pins rather than to the lights themselves. We can diagnose the whole circuit rather than replacing bulbs and hoping.

Tires

Texas heat is hard on trailer tires. Pavement temperatures in summer push pressures up through the day, and an overinflated tire on hot asphalt is a blowout risk. Set pressure cold to the sidewall rating and check it before any long run. Sun also ages sidewalls from the outside in, so a tire with good tread can still be past its useful life. We check condition as well as depth.

Structural Work and Decks

Frames, welds, ramps, gates, and hinges all take load and shock over the years. Wood decks on utility trailers wear where the work happens - at the gate and under the wheels. We handle repair and replacement rather than treating a worn deck as a reason to sell you a new trailer.

Parts and Accessories

We stock Interstate parts along with the accessories that get added after purchase - tarp kits, spare tire mounts, tie-downs, ramps, and interior fittings for cargo trailers. Because we are the only retail seller of Interstate, parts for those trailers come from us rather than through a general-purpose supplier.

Booking Service

Service runs by appointment so your trailer gets attention rather than a place in a queue. Call ahead, tell us what it is doing, and we will schedule accordingly. If you are due one of your complimentary inspections, mention it when you book - the best time for that check is before a busy season rather than after something has already gone wrong.
