Tilt Trailers in Fort Worth

Start with the load, because tilt is not a preference - it is the answer to a specific problem.

Does your load have small wheels?

Scissor lifts, floor scrubbers, compactors, anything on solid castors. These will not climb a ramp at a safe angle, full stop. A tilt deck lowers to the ground and the problem disappears.

Is it long and low?

A long wheelbase with a low front lip will high-center on a ramp no matter how gentle the angle looks. The tilt deck is the fix, and deck length rather than rating is usually the number to get right.

Do you load alone?

This is the reason most Fort Worth tilt buyers give. Ramps are heavy, awkward and need positioning, and doing that unaided several times a day gets old inside a month.

The two configurations asked about here

Single-axle 7K around 6.5x12 and 7x14 is what most callers want, and it converts better than almost any other search at this store. Above that, tandem tilt decks run to 20 feet at 10K, with hydraulic tilt worth having if the deck cycles repeatedly through a working day.

Build

Treated commercial-strength decks, Dexter axles with brakes, radial tires, LED lighting. Measure the machine including any attachment you leave fitted. Browse tilt inventory or bring the machine and we will check the load angle first.

Hydraulic or gravity

Gravity tilt uses the load’s weight and a latch, costs less, and suits a deck that moves once or twice a day. Hydraulic is controlled and repeatable, and worth the money if the deck cycles constantly or the load would be unsafe left to move on its own.

Three numbers to bring

Machine length including attachments, lowest ground clearance, and wheel or castor diameter. Those decide whether you need a tilt at all and how long the deck must be. If you do not have them, bring the machine.

What wears

The pivot and the cylinder define a tilt trailer and both want servicing on schedule rather than on failure - a seized pivot turns a routine load into a recovery. Decks are treated commercial-strength wood on Dexter axles with brakes, radial tires and LED lighting throughout.

Who buys them here

Equipment and rental operations moving lifts between sites, landscape crews with stand-on machines, and a steady flow of single-machine owners who worked out that the ramps were the worst part of the day. Once you have positioned a set of ramps alone in July, the tilt deck stops looking optional.

The latch is the safety system

On a gravity tilt, check it every single load, keep the pivot greased, and never stand where the deck will travel. On hydraulic, watch for weep at the cylinder seal - a wet rod is a warning, not yet a fault, and dealing with it then is far cheaper.

Decks in the heat

Commercial-strength wood decks take sun as well as traffic, and in Texas the sun does more of the work. Ask about deck condition at your inspection rather than guessing at it.

Single or tandem

A single-axle 7K tilt handles most stand-on machines, mowers and small lifts, and is easier to reposition by hand. Tandem 10K is for scissor lifts, compact tractors and anything you would rather have brakes on both axles under. Deck length usually decides this before rating does.

Getting a price

Bring the machine or its three key numbers - length with attachments, lowest clearance, wheel diameter. That is enough to specify accurately in one visit.
