Utility Trailers in Tulsa

An open deck loads from three sides. That is the whole advantage, and no enclosed trailer can give it back to you. Sizes here are driven hard by what people search for, and Tulsa searches by dimension.

5x8 and 5x10

Homeowner trailers. A mower, a trimmer rack, bagged material, storm brush. The 5x8 converts unusually well at this store. Light enough to reposition by hand on a driveway.

6x12

Takes a zero-turn with room to strap it, or a pallet of block or sod. If you are not sure what you need, price this one first.

6x14 and 6.5x14

The two sizes Tulsa callers ask for by name more than any others. They cover a mower plus a material load in a single trip, which is the point at which a landscape round stops needing two journeys.

6x16 and 7x16

Crew trailers, tandem axle with brakes on both. Pipe-top rails are worth asking about on the sixteen-footers - they give you something to strap tall loads against rather than over.

14 and 16 foot, however you say it

People search these by length as often as by width, and the answers are the same trailers. If you have been told to get "a fourteen footer", that is a 6x14 or 6.5x14 here.

Configuration

Mesh sides for brush and light material, solid for anything that blows out, pipe top for strapping tall loads. Wood, steel or mesh flooring. Twenty-four inch side extensions where loads fill the deck before they reach the rating. Spring-assisted ramp gate on anything cycled more than a few times a day. Browse utility inventory.

Single or tandem axle

Single axle is lighter, cheaper to buy and cheaper to keep, and you can push it around a yard by hand. Tandem gives you rating, brakes on both axles and much better composure loaded at speed. The width does not change between them - it is entirely about how much goes on and whether it stops properly afterwards.

Flooring

Wood is the default and the cheapest wear surface to replace. Steel suits abrasive material that would chew a wood deck. Mesh sheds dirt and water, which is worth having if you haul green waste week in week out.

Side extensions

Twenty-four inch extensions add real volume for bulky light material - brush, mulch, bagged product. If your loads fill the deck long before they reach the rating, this is a far cheaper answer than moving up a trailer size.

The hardware that actually fails

Not the frame. Ramp gate springs, hinges, latches, cables and tie-down points, all operated dozens of times a day by people in a hurry. Order them heavy on a working trailer and replace them as a set rather than one at a time.

Storm season

An open deck is what moves storm debris, and Tulsa generates plenty. A 6x12 or larger with mesh sides handles brush and limbs well; for anything you want to tip rather than unload, look at a dump trailer instead.

Gate choices

A spring-assisted ramp gate is worth having on anything you cycle more than a couple of times a day. Split gates are lighter to lift individually. A fold-flat gate gives you extra deck length for long items at the cost of a little strength.
