Interior height is the specification people regret

Almost nobody wishes they had bought a shorter trailer. Height is what lets shelving climb the wall instead of eating floor, and it is the difference between reaching into a trailer and working in one. It is also nearly impossible to change afterwards, unlike almost everything else on the list.

V-nose, and whether it earns its cost

A V-nose adds usable length at the front without adding to the trailer’s footprint, and it tows slightly better. On a 6x12 the extra space is genuinely useful for long items - conduit, trim, ladders. On a 4-wide there is not enough width for the point to be usable, so it matters less.

Doors

Ramp doors take wheeled loads and double as a work surface. Barn doors are lighter, seal well, and let you park closer to a wall. A side door is worth having on anything 6-wide or larger, because otherwise everything comes past whatever is nearest the rear.
