Deckover and Driveover Configurations
Two deck formats are available: deckover and driveover. Deckover trailers remove wheel wells, giving you a full-width flat deck above the tires—ideal for loading from the side with a forklift or transporting irregularly shaped cargo. Driveover fender trailers maintain a lower deck height but use reinforced, tapered fenders that allow you to drive wider vehicles, like sandrails or UTVs, directly over them. Both styles include fold-down rear ramps for fast, ground-level access to the trailer bed.
Trailer Sizes and Axle Ratings
We stock a range of 8.5’ wide models in 18’, 20’, and 22’ lengths. All configurations are built on tandem axle platforms and rated for higher gross vehicle weight (GVWR), including 14k models that can support commercial machinery, pallets of building material, or multiple recreational vehicles. All trailers are equipped with Dexter spring axles, commercial-strength wood decks, and radial tires rated for highway towing.
Built to Interstate Specifications
Every trailer sold at TrailersPlus Wayland is constructed to our internal Interstate specification. This includes powder-coated steel framing, welded stake pockets, DOT-approved lighting, and heavy-duty fenders. Decks use treated wood designed to handle tracked equipment and resist surface gouging. Diamond plate beavertails and traction-grade loading ramps are included on most models, folding flat for transport and rated to support concentrated axle weights.
Durability and Tie-Down Options
Each 8.5’ wide trailer includes multiple tie-down points integrated into the frame, including stake pockets, rub rails, or D-rings depending on model. Many customers use these to secure backhoes, mini skid steers, or work trucks. Dual axle setups distribute weight evenly and reduce sway when towing over long distances. Additional support features, like drop-leg jacks and adjustable couplers, are standard on most units to ensure proper trailer leveling and secure hook-up.
Warranty Coverage and Service Support
All 8.5’ wide equipment trailers include a 1-year warranty covering workmanship and materials. Warranty covers weld integrity, structural components, lighting, flooring, and gate hardware, but does not apply to damage from overloading or misuse. TrailersPlus also provides two free 40-point inspections at the 12- and 24-month marks. These checks cover lighting, frame, brakes, wiring, fasteners, and ramp function.
Financing and Payment Options
We offer both traditional financing and Rent-to-Own plans to fit a range of budgets. Financing is available through Sheffield Financial and Rock Solid Funding, with most plans eligible for accessory and upgrade inclusion. Buyers may also pay by cash or credit card. Rent-to-Own plans—offered through C3 Rentals—require no credit check and allow for same-day pickup with fixed monthly payments. Ownership transfers once payments are complete.
