High-Capacity Models for Demolition, Site Prep, and Heavy Material
Our 7’ wide dump lineup includes 7x12 14k, 7x14 14k, and 7x16 14k tandem axle models. These trailers are commonly used by contractors removing demolition debris, crews distributing gravel and black dirt, and operators hauling compact machinery. All models come standard with American-made Dexter spring axles, heavy-duty leaf springs, and electric brakes. Interiors are equipped with stake pockets along both sides for securing additional wall height or tie-down points. Larger units offer expanded bed volume for higher material loads per trip.
Steel Strength, Tie-Downs, and Load Access
Interstate trailers in this category use 10-gauge steel for both floor and walls. Carry-On models use a combination of 11-gauge floors and 14-gauge side panels. All models include a power-up/power-down hydraulic lift, controlled by a wired remote. The pump and deep-cycle battery are housed in a sealed steel box at the front of the trailer. The 7x14 and 7x16 models include built-in D-rings and loading ramps, stored underneath the rear, suitable for machines like skid steers and mini excavators.
Gate Design and Material Control
Standard gate setup is a double-door barn gate for most models. The Carry-On 7x14 14k includes a three-way gate that can open as barn doors or in spreader mode, which allows for partial release of material like gravel or topsoil. This added control reduces the need for additional manual raking or placement.
Tires, Braking, and Road Performance
All 7’ wide dump trailers include radial tires rated for road use under load. Radials offer improved tread wear and less risk of blowouts, especially on construction routes or uneven surfaces. Electric brakes are standard, delivering increased control under full load, especially during downhill hauling or in stop-and-go conditions.
Warranty and Long-Term Service Support
Each Interstate dump trailer includes coverage through the Interstate Limited Trailer Warranty, with defined terms covering defects in materials and workmanship. Two free 40-point inspections—at 12 and 24 months—are included with purchase and completed at our Wayland service center.
