Deckover versus standard

A deckover configuration lifts the deck above the wheel wells, giving an uninterrupted flat surface edge to edge. That is what makes genuine side-by-side loading work. A standard deck at the same nominal width loses usable space to the wells, which is where buyers are often disappointed.
